Race Day Schedule

  • 8:15 - 9:45 AM      Race packet and T-shirt Pick-up, Day of Race registration at Seward Park.
  • 9:30 AM                Deadline for Day of Race timed runners to register.
  • 10:00 AM              Run begins!
  • 10:10 AM              Walk begins (walk is not timed).
  • 11:15 AM              Awards Ceremony & Animal Product Expo.

Early / Pre-Registration: Three ways to register

    1. Online: Pre-register online through midnight on Thursday, June 4. Please note that a processing fee applies.

    2. In-Person: You can register in-person at any of the four stores below between April 25, and June 3. Timing chips will be available for pick-up at early packet pick-up or day-of-race at the timing chip table in the pre-registration area.

    • The Footzone (Bellevue, Issaquah, Redmond)


    3. Register by Mail: Print, fill out, sign and mail in the online entry form and fee to: Seattle Animal Shelter/Furry 5k, 2061 15th Ave West, Seattle, WA 98119. Form must be postmarked by May 29.

Day of Race Registration
Register on race day, Sunday, June 7, at Seward Park from 8:15-9:45 a.m.; timed runners must be registered by 9:30 a.m.. Day of race registrants will be required to fill out a separate registration form at the event.

Registration Fees

  • Early Registration: $25.00 per person with t-shirt / $20.00 per person without t-shirt
  • Day-of-Race Registration: $30.00 per person* Checks preferred/cash OK. Sorry, no credit cards.
    *Race t-shirt not guaranteed those registered after May, 15

Race Packet & T-shirt Pick-Up
Pre-registered participants can pick up their race packets and T-shirts:

  • Early packet pick-up: Upper level of the Seattle Animal Shelter on Saturday, June 6, between 10 a.m.-2 p.m. All team captains are strongly encouraged to pick up their team members' race packets during this time. Please note that team captains are responsible for distributing the packets to their team members. Please bring a photo ID and/or the e-mail confirmation you received if you registered for the race online.
  • Race Day Packet pick-up: Seward Park on Sunday, June 7, between 8:15 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. Race packets will be filed by event activity (5K Run or 5K Walk) and by last name. Look for the large pre-registration tent!

  • Walkers will not be timed

Safety Counts

  • No retractable leashes
  • Leashes no longer than 6 feet (Seattle Municipal Code)
  • No dogs under 6 months
  • No female dogs in heat
  • No aggressive dogs
  • Dogs must be on a leash at all times
  • All dogs must be current on their vaccinations
